שְׁאָרm. (b. h.; שָׁאַר) remainder, rest. Sot.VII, 7 ועל ש׳ התפלה (Y. ed. וש׳ תפילה) and a special benediction for the remaining (general) prayer; Bab. ed. 40b והש׳ תפלה and the remainder is a general prayer; ib. 41a; Y. ib.
